TECHNOLOGIES SUPPORTED

Gramin Navonmesh Protsahan

Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN) and Small Industries Development Bank (SIDBI) are working on a project “Gramin Navonmesh Protsahan”. The project aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and provide support to innovations from and for grassroots across the country. The selected projects get support for investment funds for stimulating commercialization. The support is provided in the form of a soft loan with a 5% interest rate.

Brief Information about Start-up

1

Automatic Mobile Groundnut Thresher

Picking groundnut from the farm is quite a laborious process. It includes a process of picking pods from the soil, collect it, make piles out of it and then put manually into the thresher. This process extensively manual and require around 20 persons. Available threshers were just solving the problem of separating groundnut from the pods, but process before threshing was requiring some innovation. Mr. Nileshbhai Dobariya developed a Mobile Groundnut Thrasher which is driven by a tractor; it has spikes mounted endless chain for collecting pods and stalk directly from the farm. Also, it is made in a way that at the end it produces clean crop that is ready to sell. Only one person is required to operate the machine.

2

Antyesti Innovations

Usually, it takes approximately 400 kg of wood for one funeral in regular cremation system. Mr. Arjunbhai Paghdhar developed an efficient crematorium with a closed (mummy shape) design with much less consumption of wood. The prototype is made up of Boiler Bricks with a lid and blower. It has a two-way door. The air is circulated from head to leg with the help of nozzle pipes placed at the bottom which helps to release O2 (Oxygen) to inflame the body. As and when the process starts, the blower is started to release air and to hasten the process. Innovator claims that the wood requirement can be been brought down to 130-140 kg for an average sized body and takes about 75-90 min to cremate.

3

Dharam Agro Cotton Ball Picking Machine

Dry land cotton is well adapted in certain parts of Gujarat. But cotton bolls do not open in certain varieties and hence cotton cannot be picked up directly. Extracting the cotton seeds and picking the cotton bolls is a tedious job and requires a lot of labour supply. Natubhai, a forty year old farmer from Erawada (Surendranagar district, Gujarat) brought a sustainable solution to this with his tractor drawn mobile cotton boll picking machine which takes the drive from tractor PTO. This machine not only plucks the cotton bolls but also separate the cotton from the bolls.

4

Freedom Wheel Enterprise

Jigneshbhai shah is himself differently abled person. He makes cost-effective, durable, comfortable and foldable motorized wheelchairs for handicap persons. He developed his modified vehicle using a two wheeler Honda Activa. He has kept the engine & the remaining pillion body of his scooter on the left. The scooter handle & front wheel lies in front and the lorry which carried the rider is at the same back. The lorry has a back gate with a chain to pick up or down at the time of climb or dismount.

5

Cotton Wick Making machine

Cotton wick machine developed by Mr Jayant shah has remarkable impact in terms of productivity. It can produce 800 wick per minute, which is way ahead compared any other products in market. In this machine colouring of wick is possible by pressing one lever compared to other manual processes. Mr. Jayant is expecting it to be setup at laghu gruh udhyogs to generate employment to informal sector of India.

6

Automatic cooking machine - Robocook

We have a machine for laundry, dishwashing, vacuuming, and various other appliances that make life easier for us. But what if there was a machine that did all the cooking as well? Instead of sweating in the kitchen, expect matar-paneer, jeera-aloo, rice and dal, and about a hundred more Indian recipes, to be ready in just half an hour at the press of a button. We are trying to save a persons two hours, a day. Our biggest customers are going to be bachelors or young couples who are both working in metro cities. Once the loading is done, the robot and the software will take care of the cooking.

7

Smart Walking Stick

Smart Walking Stick is useful for differently abled and aged people. It is equipped with a wheel that has a power-braking system, the device has an internal power generating mechanism that lets one charge their mobile phone and is equipped with an alarm along with a torch and compass.

8

Solar E-Seed Drill

Bharatbhai Agrawat is serial innovator of Honeybee network. His latest Innovation lies in battery operated seed drill cum manual weeder. Weeds constitute a major component among the bottlenecks for successful crop production. In addition, it is laborious, back breaking and time consuming agricultural unit operation. While labour supply in rain fed regions or low productivity region may not be always constrained, the productivity of labour is indeed low. Due to seasonal emigration, the labour shortages also occur. This weeder not only uproots the weeds between the crops but also keeps the soil surface loose, breaks crust, clods, ensuring better soil aeration and water intake capacity. Manually operated weeder is needed to reduce drudgery and increase productivity of small farmers and labourers, particularly women labourers. It is compact and easy to use, easy to dismantle and store, works well between narrow plantations of crops, affordable for small and marginal farmers.

9

Block Chain Technology

Blockchain can help companies solve problems about transparency. It will bring processes so robust that no one will be able to adulterate any data flows. It will bring information to the masses who consume products and change the way supply chains work. It will bring key insights out in front of the companies and mapping the supply with demand will be more accurate than ever.

10

Super Street Sweeper

Super sweeper is a street cleaning machine which does not require any external power source like battery or fuel. It consists of a trolley frame, wheels, a casing and a handle. The front side of the trolley is provided with a broom, the lower parts of the trolley frame and the casing are provided with horizontal brooms, so wheel rotation power can drive the brooms to sweep garbage into a waste collecting bag arranged on the front end of the trolley frame via driving members, such as a gearwheel and pinion. Therefore, Super sweeper avoids dust and automotive noise and has the advantages of simple structure and convenient operation. Sweeping speed is 3.5 km/h, and sweeping width is 1000 mm. Super Sweeper is suitable for being used in residential building districts, enterprises, campus and public places. The machine is fulfilling all needs in terms of hygiene, health, sanitation, waste management, Cost effectiveness and compatibility.
