Details Of Innovation Raddish is the main vegetable grown in the cold regions of Bhutan. The Bhutanese people store raddish and use them during the lean seasons. It is very often used for curry and also for the ceremonial pujas and festivals. The method for its storage is very simple: Dig a pit (3"x4") in the ground. Sole the bottom. Put a layer of straw on all the sides . Cleaned raddish is then put into the pit. It is covered with soil. A bamboo mat is placed on top of the pit. Raddish can be stored for 4-5 months by this method.
