Details Of Innovation	Farmers spray cow dung slurry on arecanut seedlings, ashgourd and pumpkin to save them from being destroyed by pests and monkeys. Arecanut seedlings when in the nursery stage are faced with pest menace in the form of spots and small insects. The farmers mix cowdung with water and prepare a slurry. They spray this slurry over the arecanut seedlings once or twice in a week. Thus by this method they are able to control the pests which attack the arecanut plant. The farmers also use the cow dung slurry to coat the pumpkin and ashgourd plants grown in the backyard of the house. According to them this is an effective method to control monkeys which attack the plants. Thus the vegetables are saved from the attack of monkeys till they are harvested."
