Details Of Innovation	This is a long-term method utilized in severely salt-affected areas. Farmers grow Ganda Bawal (Prosopis juliflora) in the salt-affected soil for 4-6 years. They cut away the trees and pull out the roots after 4-6 years. After clearing the field, it is plowed very deeply with the help of bullocks. Sometimes, farmers incorporate gypsum or chirodi in the field before cultivating any crop on it; some other farmers grow gram (Cicer arietinum) and okra (Abelmoschus esculautus) in the salt-affected soil of Sabarkantha District.
