Details Of Innovation	When the creeper/vine of galkca (sponge gourd) is one yearold, select the good part of the crop and place the cutting/graft on the remaining plants in the field. By following this practice, there is marked increase in the yield of the crop. Yield upto 20 kilograms can be obtained from the single plant; in the normal practice, the yield may remain upto 13 kg. The farmer has been following this practice for the past three years; however, it is not known to the other farmers of the region. About 20 per cent farmers of the village follow this practice.
