Details Of Innovation	Himmatbhai Manilal Patel sees the white ant problem as natural to lemon (Citrus limon). Accordingly, he goes about finding a cure for it. His cure is digging a three-inch-deep pit and filling it up with as much tobacco (Nicotina tobaccum) powder (snuff) as possible. The pit is then watered. This remedy gives protection to the citrus plant from white ants for one full year. The remedy was experimentally tried out in 300 lemon plants 12 years ago, and it proved successful. Himmatbhai got the idea for the cure from a paddy plant experiment.
