Details Of Innovation Farmer uses the leaves of naffatvel or shrubby morning glory (Ipomoea fistulosa) and arani (Clerodendrum phlomidis) to control the attack of aphids on pests. He boils 500 grams of the leaves of the shrubby creeper morning glory, and 500 grams of arani (Clerodendrum phlomidis)leaves in five liters of water for four hours. The solution is kept aside for five days. Later, he takes about 500 milliliters of this decoction, fills it into a pump, and mixes it with water. This solution is sprayed on the crops to control aphids. The pests are killed within three days of spraying the solution.
