Aphids generally attack the standing crop, vegetable plants and vines.They damage leaves, flowers and stem of the plant and suck out the sap. They continue to stick to the plant and damage it beyond control. According to Dharmendrabhai Gorad of Pharangataa village of Junagadh district, take one kilogram fruits of neem (Azadirachta indica), and crush thoroughly. In this mixture, one liter of water is added and concoction is prepared. As a remedy, 250 ml of concoction is filled in the spraying pump and sprayed on the affected crop. Thus, this treatment effectively controls the aphid problem. It is a traditional practice.
