Details Of Innovation Alambai Virabhai Parmar staying in Lakhawad village of Sayala taluka in the Amreli district of Gujarat suggests the use of soured buttermilk for protection of mirchi or Capsicum annum and brinjal or Solanaum melongena from kokadwa. Alambai Virabhai takes 10 litres of soured buttermilk per acre of land and sprinkles it with a broom over these plants to protect them from kokadwa. He learnt this traditional remedy from his forefathers.
