Details Of Innovation Dalubhai Bhaylubhai Parmar who stays in Jasapar village of Muli taluka in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat suggests the use of green dung to protect cotton (Gossypium herbaceum) from insects and infections affecting its stem. Cotton (Gossypium herbaceum) often gets infected after the plants are two months old. Dalubhai Bhaylubhai spreads green dung around the affected stems of cotton (Gossypium herbaceum). The smelly dung attracts most of the insects and almost 60 per cent crop is saved. He learnt this traditional remedy from his forefathers. Most of the villagers use this remedy.
