Details Of Innovation	Ramgopal, of Jalaur district of Rajasthan, states that many farmers in the district use red ochre or ruddle (a mineral of clay and hydrated ferric oxide) for controlling rats in their farms. A rat is caught, coloured with a solution of red ochre or ruddle, and then let loose in the field. On seeing this red rat, the other rats run away from the field. (Using the same idea, Gobarbhai of Dhoraji taluka of Gujarat coloured a mouse with red lead and let it free in residential areas - editor).
