| Details Of Innovation | Roots of the cinnamon (Cinnamonum zeylanicum) and lemon (Citrus limon) plants are attacked by many insect pests. To control these pests, manure is prepared by mixing leaves of nux vomica (Strychnos nux-vomica) with cow dung. Apply this manure on the roots of cinnamon (Cinnamonum zeylanicum) and lemon (Citrus Limon) plants. Manure is found to control these pests effectively. |

| PAS 1 | "The ingredients of cow dung and phytochemical compounds of plant extract are responsible for mosquito repellence. The mosquito coils available in market create heavy smoke that can generate respiratory problems especially for patients of Asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases. The cow dung provides a herbal repellent with long lasting protection, is safe for human life, human and domestic animal skin with no side-effects and no feedback of environmental ill-effect.It is thus, an alternative to synthetic chemical repellents. The formulation is safe, eco-friendly, cheap, easy to use and has maximum repellence against mosquitoes. Production of these natural repellents with cow dung may be an additional source of revenue for the farmers. | PAS 2 | "Traditionally, cow urine has been used in medicines in developing and less-developing countries. Only recently, its properties as pest control agent have been exploited in plant protection. It is mixed generally with cow dung or plant parts and plant-derived products as these combinations proved effective and cheaper than synthetic pesticides. The action of bioconstituents is exerted on insect development and survival , cow urine can therefore be considered as a potential biopesticide.
