| Ingredients | The powder of negundo chastetree (Vitex negundo)leaves, gunny bags and paddy straw. |
| Details Of Innovation | They store the paddy and pulse seeds with the help of the negundo chastetree (Vitex negundo) and add the leaf powder of negundo chastetree in the stored paddy and pulse seeds. This keeps away the storage pests. The method consists of leaving the threshed paddy in the field for three days and then threshing and sorting them, without winnowing, in gunny bags or by tying with paddy straw. Then in the month of March, during the Shivratri festival, these are taken out and dried in the sun for three, five or seven days and nights. Later, they are winnowed, cleaned and filled in gunny bags or tied with paddy straw with the addition of leaf powder of negundo chastetree in the proportion of 15:1 or 20:1. |
