| Details Of Innovation | Which farmer will not be interested in a method that would increase his profits at a low cost by improving the yield of Cuminum cyminum! Mohanbhai Shyamalbhai Khant of Vasantpur village of Jamjodhpur Taluka in Jamnagar district, uses the watery portion of buttermilk to improve the yield of cuminum cyminum. In ten litre vessel, the watery remnant of buttermilk is mixed with water. Forty to forty-five days after the sowing of the seeds and when the plants begin to flower, this mixture is to be first sparyed on the plants. In one bigha of land about three to four pumps of this solution is to be sprayed, According to Mohanbhai, in one week, the effect of this solution on the plants can be seen and the grains can also be seen to be bigger. The farmer is using this method without any side-effects for the past four years.
