Details Of Innovation Since time immemorial, the most commonly used deterrent to scare away birds from fields is the scarecrow. Scarecrows are mainly erected during the Kharif crop plantation. Farmer modifies this scarecrow by equipping it with a bow. This is particularly effective in scaring crows. Flags are tied on a leading shoot of a tall tree to frighten birds away. This is most effective in warding away fruit-eating birds from orchards.
