Details Of Innovation	Spray goat milk to control wilt disease in finger millet (Eleusine coracana) crop. In the same way, broadcasting of fish meal controls wilt in pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan) field. Finger millet (Eleusine coracana) is a minor millet which is mainly cultivated by farmers of South Gujarat. Shri Shantaben Bariya has used goat milk to control wilt in finger millet (Eleusine coracana) and pegion pea (Cajanus cajan). According to Ratnaben Deshmukh, fish meal is used to control wilt in pegion pea (Cajanus cajan). (Dr. R. M. Pande, Plant pathologist, GAU. explained that goat milk has antimicrobial properties and fish meal contains Trimethylamin, similar to poison. But according to him, wilt is spead in interior capillaries of the plant and so both the above-mentioned compounds may not be effective against this condition. It may be possible that both plants were affectd by some other infectious disease).
