"Farmer Danabhai of district Amreli treat Bronchial cough in cattle. Uproot a couple of parkinsonia (Parkinsonia aculeate) weeds and discard the roots. Pound the stem, branches, twigs and leaves to obtain about 50 grams of paste. Add this paste to 100 grams of chilli powder (Capsicum annuum). Dissolve the slurry in 500 millilitres buttermilk and stir well. Force this concoction down the throat of the coughing animal. Drenching once daily for two to three days clears the windpipe completely and the animal stops coughing."
