Community Practices "Farmer Nanjibhai Navalsingh Bariya treat FMD in animal. For control of FMD in animals, mixture of 500 g of bulbous-root of arsogna (Amorphophallus campanulatus) and 400 g of bark of tree of heaven (Ailanthus excelsa) are grinded and then dissolved in water. This mixture is given to the affected animal using drench pipe in form of drenching. This will cure FMD."

Disease Description Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) or hoof-and-mouth disease (HMD) is an infectious and sometimes fatal viral disease that affects cloven-hoofed animals, including domestic and wild bovids. The virus causes a high fever lasting two to six days, followed by blisters inside the mouth and on the feet that may rupture and cause lameness.
