Yamunaben Yavaji Chauhan treat repeat breeding in cattle. To treat this, Yamunaben Yavaji uses the bark of bakul (Mimusops elengi L.). She grinds it and soaks 100g of it in water 100g each of sugar and fennel seeds for an hour. After straining it, she gives 300ml of the decoction to the affected cow for ten days.

Disease Description
|
In a simpler term, in case of repeat breeding cows will come to heat regularly but not succeed to conceive after successful mating. Repeat breeding causes financial loss in terms of repeated inseminations, treatment, cost of feeding without production, production loss due to delayed conception.

Management Practices
|
Bring the animal into +ve balance with help of feeding additional concentrate, greens, mineral supplement. Check the semen quality and use only high quality semen. GnRH: 10 mg of GnRH at the time of AI or immidiately after AI. hCG: 1500 IU at the time of AI. Progesteron: 500 mg of progesteron, P depot, Duraprogen on 5th day after AI. CIDR, ear implant or PRID application and fixed time AI twice at 48 and 72 hours.
