Details Of Innovation	He developed this variety by mass selection from a traditional variety conserved by his forefathers. He has been cultivating the conserved variety from the last 27 years. He intentionally started selection and developed this variety based on its fruit length, yield and tolerance to major insect-pests and diseases. • Spine on stem and calyx • More number of fruits per plant (average 30 fruits) • Long fruit size (45 – 60 cm) • Green purple stripped fruit • Soft pulp and sweet in taste, less seed • Tolerant to major diseases and pest
