| Details Of Innovation | Water Purification for drinking During rainy season, water is stored in the wells. This is purified by putting banana pseudostem into the well. One year old banana pseudostem is cut just above the root portion. The terminal portion is also removed. This middle portion of pseudostem is thrown into the well and left for 3 to 4 days. After that the pseudostem is removed the dirt and colloidal matter present in the well water will adhere in the pseudostem. In this way the water is purified. This is done once in a year. |
