Details Of Innovation If the wood apple tree (Feronia limonia) does not bear fruit, a hole should be drilled in its trunk; it should taper towards the lower side. Beeswax is given the shape of a bottle and filled with a small quantity of mercury. This bottle is kept inside the hole that is then closed with beeswax. This is said to be effective in encouraging the tree to bear fruit
