Problem:The traditional process of manure spreading has many drawbacks since the labour requirement and costs are high, taking more time and effort to complete the work. On the other hand, the machine developed by the Late Mr. Ashik Gani solves all these problems. If any farmer wants to spread farmyard manure on their farm, they always need help from the service provider who comes with their tractor, trolley, and JCB with labour. They pick manure from the farmer’s dumpsite and make piles in the farms. Afterward, farmers need to spread piles in the field, which is labour-intensive and time-consuming. The innovator came up with a machine that can do both operations simultaneously.
Solution: The machine is powered by the tractor’s PTO and is controlled remotely. Technology requires attaching the machine to the tractor with the machine’s battery wire attached to the tractor with a remote control provided to the tractor operator. The machine is filled with manure from JCB or Loader and activated by PTO. The remote control has four switches: two for raising and lowering the rear gate and two for moving the manure forward and backward. Loading and unloading of manure is automatic. A single operator is enough to spread the manure in the field using this machine.
The minimum tractor capacity required to operate the machine for hard soil is 40 Hp single-hand drive and for soft soil (soil ploughed before sowing) 45 to 50 hp with 4 by 4 drive or 50 hp above with the single drive. Manure storage capacity in one trolley for wet compost is 4.5 to 5 tons and for dry compost is 2.5 to 3 tons, i.e. 150 cubic feet.
Social and environmental impact: This machine spreads both wet and dry manure quickly, uniformly, and efficiently which in turn reduces wastage of manure. The machine is especially suited for organic manures, promoting organic farming and reducing the usage of chemical fertilizers and their negative impact on soil.
