GIA
The Grassroots Innovation Assembly (GIA) is an international gathering that brings together smallholders, innovation networks, and organizations focused on agroecological methods and technological sovereignty. It was initiated in 2018 by groups such as Farm Hack, L’Atelier Paysan, and Schola Campesina to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among grassroots innovators. The GIA aims to amplify the visibility and impact of peasant-led innovation networks, promoting autonomy and resilience against corporate-driven agricultural technologies like AG 4.0.
The second meeting of the Grassroots Innovation Assembly (GIA) is currently taking place in Ahmedabad from the 24th to the 27th, with approximately 24 participants from different countries.
