Yasir Arafat, 30 years old, is an Accountant by profession. He has 2 years of experience in this field. He studied bachelor of commerce. Mr. Yasir Arafat has developed a feed mixing machine that uses corn, millets like bajra, and soya to feed cattle, buffaloes and poultry animals of all ages. It weighs around 75 kilos. It employs 1.5 HP motor, a grinder, hopper, a control panel board (havells), and MS plate. It comes on wheels. It is an automatic and easy to operate machine. It can generate biofuel using fodder. It can also be used to produce urea pallets. The cost of urea comes down by nearly 40%. Its approximate unit price is Rs.1,20,000/-, Selling Price is Rs.1,50,000/- (excluding GST 18%). He has sold 8 units in the last two years. Rs. 2 Lakh profit earned @ Rs. 25000 as profit margin.

The project is related to Production of Cattle Feed making machine that makes cattle feed / Goat feed/ Poultry feed / Organic fertilizer / Poultry waste fertilizer, Bio Energy, under this project the company will be producing Feed pellets.

Salient Features:

Cattle Feed plant is designed and manufactured to process feed pellets. The machines are designed and engineered upon the properties and profile of the raw material to be processed, which is readily available in the region where the machine is going to be installed. Given the huge availability of Cattle feed across India there are many installations designed to process feed pellets, The unique feature of the feed pellet machine is that the majority of Feed pellets runs without binding .The machine binds the raw material at a high pressure under the heat. It does not require any external heating source hence the technology of this plant is known as binder less technology. Because of the heat formation all feed pellets get roasted and become Bacteria free feed. This is very tasty and liked by animals. Let’s look at some distinguished benefits of feed in pellet form.

  • Roasted feed
  • Easy to digest.
  • Bacteria free.
  • No wastage while Feeding.
  • Increase in Milk.
  • With Protein feed
  • Easy to transport, Good shelf Life.
  • Economical and Cheaper and better than market available

Challenges:

When it comes to farming, each and every farmer should know the good and proper farming practice that can lead to health and energetic animals. If farming is done in a business manner we should practice it in a way that it will give us returns. One of the golden rules in farming is to know the proper feeding techniques and have the knowledge of how that feeding will be of great help in your farming. You need to know in which state of food to feed your animals. For many years it has been a general golden rule that pellets are more advantages to your animals. Raw Materials: Suitable for processing all kinds of mash feed and feed materials including roughages, dry forages and green forages. (eg. corn, straw, grass, cottonseed shell, peanut shell, coffee husks, all kinds of oil cake and meals)

Overcoming the Challenges:
Farmers in India are not earning more hence we need to engage the resource which will bring financial strength in rural India • Off season earnings will have direct impact on the disposable income which will boost the economy • Will not bring farmer on the brink of suicide • Women financial empowerment will drive cultural and social reforms Target User: Farmer, individuals, family / households, rural breeding, small farms etc. And can also be applied to fertilizer production (biological fertilizer, organic fertilizer, compound fertilizer). Features: reasonable structure design, small occupation, low noise, easy to operate, high output, low energy consumption. You can select different size and of the pellet die to produce feed pellets with different diameter. Besides, the compression ratio of each pellet die is designed according to your specific raw materials.

Future aspirations:
Awards and Honours: Selection and Sanction of funds (Grant-in-Aid of Rs. 5,00,000/- Five lakh) under ‘Agripreneurship Orientation Programme (AOP), under Innovation & Agri- Entrepreneurship Program, RKVY -RAFT AAR, DAC&FW, Gol, New Delhi.
