It was in October 2001 that Ishwar Singh started working on formulation and experiments on horrible insecticides and pesticides. He used to perform trials on his farm. His perspective was that the conventional formulation was causing air, soil, and water pollution. Also, human health and cattle health was affected by the chemical-based products. Hence, he made herbal products, including fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, etc. In 2004, one of his friends from a nearby village showed interest in his work and offered support. The hard part for Singh was not the development but explaining and convincing the village farmers about the merits of herbal formulation and the ill effects of conventional pesticides. Somehow, he convinced a few farmers to use his formulations, and the response was very satisfying for farmers. Since then, he has tried many different formulations and has developed a whole herbal farming kit for which he applied for a patent.
Many local institutions awarded and recognized the Innovation by Shree Ishwar Singh. He was also awarded the 3rd National Innovation Foundation award.
